Stories and songs about stories and songs...

If you're a fan of good music and good writing about music, you owe it to yourself to do three things today, not necessarily in this order:

1. Go read Peter Cooper's excellent profile on country music's current in vogue outlaw, Jamey Johnson.

2. Find your way clear to listen to Johnson's epic new double album, The Guitar Song. (But certainly try before you buy, like on Rhapsody or Rdio or Lala...oh, wait...)

3. Don't bother reading the comments down at the bottom of the page of Peter's story. I align myself with AuntB's thought that Nashville media members deserve much better trolls, and this set of yayhoos continues to prove that blog comments are, for the most part, worthless. (Except yours. Yours are awesome. Love ya, mean it.)

Tried listening to it twice, not there yet but going to keep trying. Can't get off Anais Mitchell's Hadestown.
